Connect your agent to Convexity
Connect ChatGPT or Claude to your Convexity project through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The connection lets your agent use Convexity tools in a conversation.
Copy the MCP endpoint
- Open the Convexity project that you want to connect.
- Select Open settings from the account row in the sidebar.
- Select Connections.
- In AI agents, select OpenAI for ChatGPT or Claude for Claude.
- Find MCP endpoint in the expanded panel.
- Select Copy MCP endpoint.
The endpoint identifies the selected organization and project. Use the copied endpoint when you create the connection in your agent.
If the panel shows Select an organization and project, select both in Convexity first. Then return to Settings > Connections and copy the endpoint.
Connect ChatGPT
Follow OpenAI's Add custom MCP server guide to create a custom plugin.
- Open ChatGPT's custom MCP server setup from the official guide.
- Name the plugin
Convexity. - Paste the copied Convexity endpoint into Server URL.
- Complete the authentication and plugin creation steps in the guide.
- Install the plugin.
- In a new conversation, type
@and select Convexity.
Use the official guide for the current ChatGPT setup screens.
Connect Claude
Follow Claude's Get started with custom connectors using remote MCP guide. Claude calls this connection a custom connector.
- Open Claude's custom connector setup from the official guide.
- Name the connector
Convexity. - Paste the copied Convexity endpoint into the remote MCP server URL field.
- Complete the authentication and connection steps in the guide.
- Enable the Convexity connector in your conversation.
Use the official guide for the setup steps that apply to your Claude account.
Test the connection
- Open a conversation with Convexity selected.
- Ask:
Use Convexity to list up to five inventory items in this project, including each SKU and name. - Compare the result with Inventory > Items in the connected project.
If the project has no items, an empty result can be correct. If the agent cannot connect, complete its sign-in steps and try again. If the result is from the wrong project, copy the endpoint from the intended project's Connections page.
