Manage warehouses and locations
Use Warehouse > Settings to create warehouses and locations. Expand the storage tree to see items and stock balances at each location.
Create a warehouse
- Open the project.
- Open Warehouse > Settings.
- Select Create location.
- In Create storage, select Warehouse.
- Enter Warehouse code.
- Enter Warehouse name.
- Select Create.
The warehouse appears in the storage tree. Codes use uppercase letters, numbers, dashes, slashes, underscores, or periods. Spaces change to dashes.
Create a location
- Select Create location.
- In Create storage, select Location.
- Select Warehouse.
- In Parent location, select a parent or Top level.
- Enter Location name.
- Enter Location code, if applicable.
- Select Location type.
- Select Create.
Location types are Zone, Aisle, Rack, Shelf, and Bin. The new location appears under its selected parent.
If no active warehouse exists, the form opens in Warehouse mode. Create a warehouse first.
Read location stock
- Expand a warehouse in the storage tree.
- Expand a location to see its items.
- Compare On hand, Available, and Reserved for the item.
These quantities refer to the selected location. The tree also shows the location type and last transaction.
Enter a stock count
Changing On hand posts a stock adjustment when the field loses focus. Enter the counted total in the item's stock unit.
- Expand the location and find the item.
- In On hand, enter the counted total.
- Press Enter to save the count.
- Make sure that the success message appears and the balance is correct.
The system posts the difference between the previous balance and the counted total. For example, a change from 10 to 8 posts an adjustment of minus 2. The counted total must be zero or greater.
To correct a saved count, enter the correct total in On hand.
